This Audi A4 A6 Multitronic Transmission ECU is a very common failure for all Audi 2001 – 2007 vehicles with Multitronic transmission/gearbox.
When this gearbox ECU fails it will normally start with the “PRNDS” light flashing on the dash when driving instead of just the “D” symbol. This fault will normally start out as intermittent but always becomes more permanent with time. When the “PRNDS” light comes on the gearbox will normally go in to fail-safe mode and lose power. Other common symptoms include complete loss of reverse gear or no drive at all.
We can rebuild your own unit and provide a warranty, this unit will just plug straight back in to the gearbox after the rebuild, there is no need for programming afterwards.
